What type of lighting is best for the outdoors? JellyFish LED lights are the best choice for outdoor lighting due to their energy efficiency, durability, and brightness. For added security, use the JellyFish API to connect your JellyFish lights to your security system. Depending on your outdoor lighting needs, you can also use floodlights for wide coverage or string lights for a cozy ambiance.
How long do permanent holiday lights last? Permanent holiday lights, especially high-quality LED systems, like JellyFish Lights, will last 15 years or more. Most LEDs are rated for around 50,000 hours of use. Their lifespan can be affected by factors such as durability to weather, frequency of use, and the quality of the components used in the system.
How are JellyFish lights different from traditional Christmas lights? Unlike temporary string lights, JellyFish lights are a permanent, durable, and fully integrated lighting system. These lights are connected to a power source and app controlled by your smart phone. Our JellyFish power source is 48V and powerful enough to run both your roofline and landscape lighting in one system, whereas competitor’s systems are 12V and not capable of the features JellyFish Lights can offer.

How are JellyFish lights installed? Aglow Custom Lighting ensures a clean and professional installation process: 1. How many different colors and patterns can you do? JellyFish lights can produce over 16 million different colors. The user can create custom colors, programs, and patterns or choose from one of the many pre-set options.
Can you do warm white? Yes, you can choose or make your own color temperature. Presets available for 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K.
How long does installation take? Most residential installations are completed in 1-2 days. Our experienced installation team works efficiently to ensure a smooth, hassle-free setup of your JellyFish lighting system.
Can I connect my JellyFish lights to my home security system and Google Home? Yes, JellyFish Lighting can connect to other software systems such as home automation, security systems, and more using JellyFish's API.
Is there a warranty? When it comes to permanent lighting, warranty coverage matters—and not all warranties are created equal. At Aglow we are committed to transparency and continuous support for our customers. We offer a no-strings attached, 5-year warranty on parts and a 3-year warranty on labor and we won’t make you waste your time “registering your product” and won’t hassle you when you try to make a warranty claim. Exercise caution when you encounter companies advertising “lifetime warranties” for tech-based, consumable products. These often come with strict limitations, short labor coverage (typically 1–2 years), and burdensome claim processes. What’s marketed as a “lifetime warranty” is actually a “limited lifetime warranty” with lots of fine print and time sensitive registration requirements. Bottom line: Don’t just rely on buzzwords. Talk to Aglow to understand the specific warranty terms and how they compare—so you know exactly what you’re getting.
Can I do just the front of the home then add the back or sides on in the future? Yes, you can do as much or as little as you want and we can easily return in the future to complete any other area(s) of the home.
Can separate areas of my house have different lighting schemes? Yes, our zoning feature allows the ability to only turn on certain sections of lights or to have different patterns on different parts of your home at the same time.
What type of lighting is best for a patio? The best lighting for a patio includes string lights for ambiance, wall sconces for style and visibility, and LED fixtures for energy efficiency. Combining layers of light creates both function and atmosphere.
Are JellyFish lights safer than traditional Christmas lights? Absolutely.
